LOUIS (AP) — Kyle Gibson can earn an additional $500,000 in performance bonuses each season in his deal with the St. Louis Cardinals, which guarantees the 36-year-old right-hander $13 million.Gibson’s contract, announced Nov. 21, calls for a $12 million salary next year and includes a $12 million club option for 2025 with a $1 million buyout. DENVER (KDVR) -- Two people were killed in an apparent murder-suicide near the Parker Holiday Inn on Tuesday, according to Parker police.The Parker Police Department reported that the call was received at about 12:47 p.m. regarding two bodies with gunshot wounds between the Holiday Inn and the Saltgrass Steakhouse in the 19000 block of Cottonwood Drive. Police say both victims are male adults, with one found dead in the parking lot and the second who was taken to the hospital and died. At almost 5 p.m., the department told FOX31 that the two deceased individuals knew each other and the department is in the process of notifying their next of kin. DENVER (KDVR) — A 43-year-old man died Sunday after having an "apparent medical event" while in police custody, according to the Denver Police Department.Denver Police reported that there is evidence the medical event and subsequent death could be related to narcotics; however, naloxone administered by officers shortly after the man lost consciousness had "no apparent effect." Dozens of migrants recently lent a helping hand in Woburn, joining volunteers to rake leaves for senior citizens. A total of more than 200 volunteers took to driveways, sidewalks and lawns in Woburn as part of the raking effort on Sunday. Fifty Haitian migrants who have been calling the city home were among the group. “It was a great pleasure to participate in this activity,” said one migrant, Thomas Junior, through a translator. “It was nothing compared to what the people have been doing for us in this country.” Junior was forced to leave Haiti and flee to Chile four years ago with his wife and child. In Chile, though, he said their lives came under threat, forcing them to flee again.
