Man dies after being hit by vehicle on Ben White

AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin Police said Friday a man died after being hit a vehicle on the eastbound service road of West Ben White Boulevard in south Austin. The crash happened near the intersection of West Ben White and Banister Lane just before 1 a.m., according to APD.Austin Police said the eastbound service road of West Ben White was closed from Banister Lane to James Casey Street and the 1st St exit ramp from US Highway 290 was closed while police investigate.Police said the man was on or crossed the service road illegally when he was hit. The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with authorities, according to police. The driver did not face charges, APD said. According to Austin-Travis County EMS, paramedics performed CPR and "extensive resuscitative efforts" but the adult patient died at the scene.Deputies find missing man's car near Mohawk River

REXFORD, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Deputies with the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office are on the lookout for a 63-year-old man, who has been missing since last Monday, May 22. WYNANTSKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A 26-year-old North Greenbush man was cited to court early Friday morning after police say he threatened another man with a gun. Dylan Patti was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon and misdemeanor menacing after the alleged incident. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. - A group of paramedics and firefighters from across the region took part in a simulation of a disaster scenario Thursday as part of a week-long search and rescue training event.“You are not able to move much. Police in D.C. are investigating a shooting that killed a man in Southwest D.C. early Thursday morning.A report of a shooting on Forrester Street near Shepherd Parkway came in just after 1:35 a.m.Officers arrived at the scene and found Adrian Burgess, 19, of Northwest D.C., with gunshot wounds.He died at the scene.No suspect has been named at this time.D.C. police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information that leads to an arrest.Anyone with information can submit a tip by calling 202-727-9099 or texting their tip line at 50411.Below is a map of where the shooting took place.
