CHICAGO — The trial of Crimo Jr. takes off Monday and is expected to last a week.Prosecutors say Crimo Jr. acted recklessly when signing his son's application for a FOID card knowing his son had violent thoughts. The judge must consider what did the father know, when did he know it and what would a reasonable person done in that situation. Crimo Jr. faces seven counts of reckless conduct. In the trial, there is expected to be 10 prosecution witnesses, police interrogation transcripts and text messages between the father and son. CHICAGO — Fire crews are on the scene of an extra-alarm fire in the city's Oakland neighborhood.The fire broke out around 7 a.m. Monday at an apartment high-rise in the 3500 block of South Cottage Grove. PITTSFIELD, Mass. (NEWS10) -- The City of Pittsfield is launching the "snow angel pilot program," which asks for volunteers to help out neighbors in need once the snow starts to fall. AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Three Gloversville men were arrested and charged with grand larceny, and more, at a Walmart shopping center. On Sunday, around 7:28 p.m., deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office responded to the Walmart Shopping Center in Amsterdam. Upon arrival, patrols saw a man who matched the description of a suspect fleeing the store on foot. A deputy told the man to stop running but he did not, initiating a foot chase. The suspect was chased through the Walmart parking lot, Taco Bell parking lot, State Highway 30, and was eventually caught and taken into custody. The man was identified as Fancher III.
